The CITB Health and Safety Awareness course is a one day training course for new entrants and existing workers within the construction and civil engineering industry.
By completing this course, you will gain a solid understanding of health and safety, as well as your responsibilities and legal duties within the sectors.
The CITB Health and Safety Awareness Course is a minimum requirement to apply for a CSCS Green Labourer Card, which allows you to legally work on a construction site.
If you are new to the construction and civil engineering sector, this course will give you all the foundation health and safety knowledge you will need to work safely on-site, or it will act as a refresher if you need to renew your certification.

The health and safety training is highly interactive, delivered through a range of group work, discussions and presentations.
This course can be delivered in the following ways:
Our remote Health and Safety Awareness course is delivered online in a virtual classroom via Zoom. To access the course, delegates have to remotely join the course using the link provided, either from home or the office.
However, they will need a computer or laptop with a screen, camera, microphone and access to the internet to attend. The course is delivered by a live trainer who covers the same content as they would in a classroom environment.
Delegates are provided with a downloadable digital copy of the coursebook, and the final exam is completed online.
Like the in-person classroom courses, there will be up to 12 delegates on the course at any one time, all of whom will be able to see each other and interact via video or webchat.
The remote CITB Health and Safety Awareness course is available to book online or over the phone. Also, we have multiple public remote learning dates available where you can book one or multiple spaces.
The CITB Health and Safety Awareness course (also known as CITB HSA) is delivered in one day, and you can book the course in any of our training venues nationwide.
The one day Health and Safety course is delivered in a classroom with an experienced trainer to a group of up to 20 delegates.
Delegates can book for themselves or their employees. Public dates are plotted each month throughout the year for this Health and Safety Awareness course.

We can arrange for the CITB Health and Safety Awareness to be delivered as an in-house course specifically for your delegates. This is done via remote learning at one of our venues or a venue of your choosing, such as your office board room or a local conference centre.
In-house training is a popular option for larger companies as it can be delivered on-site, and delegates can interact and discuss company-specific examples during the training.
Please note: There must be a minimum of 4 delegates and no more than 12 delegates.
This course is also available to complete online via eLearning.
The eLearning course is an ideal alternative for those who don’t have time to attend a set course date and prefer to complete the course independently.
