The Fire Warden Training in Construction eLearning course is designed specifically for those working within the construction sector. The course covers your duties under fire legislation, as well as looking at fire prevention measures, the correct use of fire extinguishers, and how to organise a fire drill.
This online training course will help your organisation work towards compliance with the Fire Safety Order 2005.
Every business is legally required to have a fire warden under the Fire Safety Order 2005. This means it’s absolutely crucial to ensure you are provided with the adequate training, knowledge and experience to be able to implement preventive and protective measures to keep your workforce safe in the event of a fire.
Failure to carry out these responsibilities can result in a penalty consisting of a fine or up to two years’ imprisonment.
This is especially important in the construction industry, which often involves the use of machinery, equipment and materials which could cause a fire.

Fire Prevention
Section 2 looks at the role of the Fire Warden and the importance of a safe working environment. We’ll explain why fire emergency plans and fire evacuation plans are necessary, what a fire risk assessment is and what it means to the Fire Warden.
We also cover people who may be at particular risk, explaining what personal emergency evacuation plans are and who may need them.
Fire Evacuation
In Section 3, we explore how people react in fire-related situations, demonstrating how important the role of a Fire Warden is.
We also explain the importance of fire drills and cover the emergency procedure, such as raising the alarm and calling the fire service.
Fire Extinguishers and Classes
Fires can be divided into different classes and each requires a different response. This section looks at each class of fire, the different types of fire extinguisher, how to operate them and which extinguishers to use on each class of fire.
Legislation Overview
The fifth and final section of the Fire Warden in Construction Training course is presenter-led, explaining the relevant sections of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
Benefits of the Fire Warden Training in Construction eLearning Course?
The Fire Warden Training in Construction course is delivered via engaging, video-based eLearning. Unlike our classroom and online (remote) training, the eLearning Course does not have a live trainer, nor other delegates to interact with.
The key benefit of this is the ability to complete the course at your own pace, from any location. Whether you choose to get through all the material in one day, or spread over a few is completely up to you.
This also means there’s no need to attend the classroom, eliminating the need to travel and saving you time and money.
